I was drawn to this book for the illustrations but have greatly enjoyed reading it too, yes it is a children's book, but I do not discriminate. I only found out today that the author is Colin Meloy from the band the Decemberists and the wonderful illustrations are done by his wife Carson Ellis, a professional illustrator.
